NIS Receives Momentum Award!

Niles Intermediate School has received the Momentum Award from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) for results achieved on the 2022-2023 Ohio State report card! The Momentum Award is given to schools that improve their performance index by three or more points from the 2021-2022 report card to the 2022-2023 report AND receive a value-added rating of four or more stars. Niles Intermediate received a 4.5 rating (exceeds state standards) and increased their performance index by 5.4 points on their most recent state report card.

“We are honored to receive the Momentum Award from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce,” says NIS Principal Chris Staph. “This recognition is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our staff and the entire school community. Together, we strive to create an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I am so proud of the work being done here at Niles Intermediate and happy to have it be recognized by the state.”

May the Momentum Award serve as a source of pride and motivation that continues to inspire, innovate, and make a difference in the lives of your students.”
